Chilean fruit exports to Brazil increase 31.5%

While the fresh fruit export season in Chile is still ongoing, the shipments to Brazil during the 2022-2023 period have increased by 31.5% compared to the previous campaign, according to the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association AG (ASOEX).

According to Iván Marambio, President of ASOEX, Brazil is the primary destination for Chilean fruits in Latin America, and these higher volumes reaffirm Brazil's leadership position.

To date, the exports of fresh Chilean fruits to Brazil reached 100,597 tons, with apples (51%), plums (15%), kiwis (14%), table grapes (6%), cherries (4%), nectarines, and pears (3%) being the main varieties of demand.
