Collaborative approach to enhance processor and packhouse efficiency

This collaboration enables TOMRA Food to customize sorting and grading solutions for each customer by gaining a deep understanding of their unique operational challenges and priorities.

In 2022, ICOEL became TOMRA Food's integrated business partner for Europe and a partner in cherry solutions for Latin America. ICOEL specializes in designing and manufacturing fruit handling, processing, and packaging equipment. Their solutions seamlessly integrate with TOMRA's offerings, enabling processing and packing plants to benefit from both companies' machinery. 

TOMRA Food also collaborates closely with machinery distributor Luciano Aguilar, representing various manufacturers and acting as TOMRA's exclusive agent in Spain and Portugal. This partnership provides customers with complete line solutions, combining TOMRA's sorting and grading technologies with Luciano Aguilar's expertise.

The partnership between TOMRA Food and Jose Borrell, a provider of comprehensive lines for shelling, sorting, grading, and packing almonds, is another powerful collaboration. Beyond almonds, Borrell's expertise extends to designing lines for hazelnuts, pistachios, seeds, chopped carob, locust beans, plums, and various other nut products. TOMRA has appointed Borrell as its exclusive agent in Spain and Portugal for sorting solutions dedicated to nuts and dried fruit.

By synergizing Borrell's full-line proficiency with TOMRA's world-class sorting and grading technologies, processors obtain highly effective interconnected solutions. Moreover, customers only have to engage with a single party throughout the process, streamlining the potentially complex aspects of line design and machinery specifications.
