Decline in the volume of fresh mangoes exported by Cambodia

For the whole of 2022, the results are not yet known, but the data for the end of November indicate a severe decline in the volume of fresh mangoes exported by Cambodia.
 
Cambodia, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, in the first 11 months of the year 2022 exported 169,658 tons of fresh and dried mangoes. That is, compared to the previous year, a variation of -30.28% for all mangoes and -32.5% for fresh mangoes which only reached 152,994.68 tonnes.
 
According to Cambodian professionals, this fall in the volume of fresh mangoes exported is mainly due to the Covid-19 restrictions put in place in China which slowed down shipments, but also to heavy rains which reduced Cambodian production.
 
In 2021 Cambodia had exported 242,483.76 tonnes of fresh mangoes (+148.38% compared to 2020) and 17,879.82 tonnes of dried mangoes (+179.30% compared to 2020).
