Moroccan exports performed well in 2022

Despite the complex international context and difficult climatic conditions, exports of agricultural and agri-food products recorded notable progress.
 
The Ministry of Agriculture announced that during the year 2022 the export of fresh fruit and vegetables reached a volume of 2.3 million tonnes, i.e. +10% compared to the previous year.
 
Growth concerned all product families and all destinations. Particularly citrus exports which saw a 2.2-fold increase to the US market. Soft fruit exports recorded +20%, reaching a volume of 131,900 tonnes.
 
Exports of processed agricultural products also increased, with +5% in volume and +19% in value compared to 2021.
 
In total in 2022, exports of agricultural, agri-food and fishery products reached a turnover of 80 billion MAD (7.8 billion USD), i.e. +20% compared to 2021.
