Takeover for the agricultural sector in Jordan

In Jordan, the agricultural sector is on the road to recovery after the pandemic according to the Ministry of Agriculture, which announced an increase in exports of + 17.4% in value. Jordanian vegetable exports to Israel have just picked up.
 
After a 5-month hiatus, Jordan resumed its vegetable exports to Israel. If the volume exported in August totaled only 37 tons of cucumber and peppers, according to the agreement between the two countries, the exported volume could reach 50,000 tons of fruits and vegetables by September 2022.
 
For the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture, the agricultural sector is on the road to recovery from the pandemic. For the 2nd quarter of 2021, the agricultural growth rate is higher than economic growth with + 3.5% and the country's exports reached 390 million JOD (550 million USD), i.e. + 17.4% compared to the same. period of 2020 according to DoS, the statistics department.
 
National exports could reach this year a rate of + 24% in value according to ministerial forecasts. The latest technologies adopted in the agricultural sector will help boost production and therefore increase exports.
