Printable version
The continued spread of the virus and the uncertainty over international flights have forced the organizers of the Oman AgroFood fair, scheduled for next December, to postpone the event to 2021.

The 4th edition of Oman AgroFood Exhibition and Conference, under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, will be held from December 6 to 8, 2021 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Center.

This annual gathering will bring together key government decision makers, regional and international leaders, but also providers of innovative technologies and solutions to transform the sector and make the ambitious vision of the Sultanate a reality.

The Sultanate has ambitious plans to develop production and capacity in agriculture, thereby strengthening the sector as a contributor to economic growth. The modernization of agriculture and the development of farms are the main pillars of the sustainable development strategy which is part of the Oman Vision 2040 program.

This year Oman's food imports are expected to total around $4.8 billion. The country imported in 2018 for only $284 million for fruits and nuts. Food consumption in the country is expected to register an annual growth of 4.6% until 2023.
