Cancellation of banana and potato exports to Europe

Angola was planning to export 8,000 tonnes of potatoes and bananas to Europe this year. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic the project has been canceled.
 
 
 
Created in 2012 by the Angolan government, the Quiminha agricultural center, located in the north of Bengo province, is considered to be the country's largest agricultural project. It has an area of 5,000 hectares of crops and has a production capacity of 35,000 tonnes / year (fruit, vegetables, cereals, oilseeds, root vegetables and tubers) as well as its own logistics center.
 
 
 
The banana and potato export plan to Europe, which planned to export 8,000 tonnes of potatoes and bananas this year, has just been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic announced the management of the QIRAP (Quiminha Integrated and Regional Agricultural Project).
 
 
 
The date of resumption of this export project is unknown.
