The 11th APA Triennial Conference in Rwanda

 

(African Potato Association) conference for its 11th edition. The previous conference had hosted more than 300 participants from 34 countries.


APA (African Potato Association) was established in 1983. Its main purpose is to promote the production and use of potato and sweet potato for food and nutrition security in Africa.


The creation of the association is the result of the awareness of the lack of platforms among national potato research programs across Africa for sharing experiences and learning. A triennial meeting has been set up to provide a forum for exchanging ideas, projects and experiences.
