Income from Peruvian paprika exports exceeds $61 million through May

 

Between January and May 2023, whole paprika exports from Peru significantly increased in value, while the volume almost remained still, if compared to the same term in 2022.

According to Agrodata Perú, during the first 5 months of the ongoing year, the country exported 13.691.841 kilos of the product, worth $61.094.752.

In the same lapse of 2022, Peru shipped 13.645.014 kilos of paprika, worth $45.783.237.

The main destinations through May 2023 were Mexico (57% of total value), the United States (37%), Spain (4%), and Guatemala (2%), among others.
