Further good performance for banana exports

After having recorded for the month of July 2022, an increase in volume of +6% compared to the same period of 2021, Cameroon recorded for the month of August an increase in volume of +24.4%
 
According to Assobacam (Cameroon Banana Association) data at the end of August 2022, Cameroon exported 15,733 tonnes of bananas, an increase of +24.4% compared to the 12,651 tonnes exported for the same period. from last year.
 
This increase in exports is due to a marked increase in production by the 3 main market players (PHP, CDC, Boh Plantations Pl). Increase following the long rainy season which is conducive to an increase in production.
 
Some analysts anticipate very satisfactory results for the 3rd quarter of 2022.
