Brazil's fruit exports grow through September

Significant growth was observed in fruit exports from Brazil during the period from January to September this year, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Exporters of Fruit and Fruit Products (ABRAFRUTAS). 
 
Shipments increased by 5% in volume and 7% in value. The industry outlook is that, by the end of December, the sector will surpass the outstanding mark of the first billion reached in 2021.
 
Among the fruits that stood out in this analysis was mango, which experienced an impressive 24% increase in value and a solid 14% in volume, consolidating its position as one of the country's most exported fruits. Lemon also grew by 12% in value and 5% in volume.
 
Melon exports recorded a 25% increase in value, although there was no variation in terms of volume. On the other hand, grape shipments experienced a 55% increase in value and a solid 35% increase in volume.
 
Avocados also stood out with a notable increase of 128% in value and an impressive 142% in volume. Growth was also seen in apple exports, up 24% in value and 3% in volume.
