Serbia and China sign free trade agreement
1st free trade agreement signed between China and a Central European country. This agreement aims to eliminate customs duties on a multitude of goods, including several agricultural products.
Serbia and China have signed a free trade agreement covering 10,412 Serbian tariff lines or products and 8,930 Chinese tariff lines or products.
The agreement is expected to come into force shortly. Customs duties will be eliminated for Serbian apples, plums and peaches. As well as for Serbian frozen raspberries, which recently recorded a +350% increase in sales over the previous year.
This agreement should boost trade not only in the agricultural sector, but also in the automotive, technology and raw materials sectors.
