According to the DynaLiners report, from January to August 2023, the 4 reefer container manufacturers (CIMC, Dong Fang, FUWA Guangdong, MCI) produced 113,000 TEU (TEU) of reefer containers.

 

For the full year 2023, reefer container production is estimated at 150,000 TEU (TEU), representing a variation of -46.81% compared with the 282,000 TEU (TEU) manufactured in 2022, and a variation of -61.14% compared with the 386,000 TEU(TEU) manufactured in 2021. 

 

The report also estimates that the reefer fleet should reach 3.58 million TEU (TEU) by the end of 2023, compared with 3.54 million TEU (TEU) at the end of 2022.
