Last July, 2023 apple production was estimated to be +9% up on 2022. The increase is now estimated at +12%.
A publication from Agreste Conjoncture, issued by the French Ministry of Agriculture, announces that apple production in France, based on data as of October 1, 2023, is estimated at 1,615,900 tonnes.
This represents +12% on 2022 and +10% on the 2018-2022 average. The evolution is estimated at +8% for Golden, +8% for Granny Smith, +16% for Gala, and +13% for other varieties.
Last July, the harvest estimate was 1,581,500 tonnes, +9% compared to 2022 and +8% compared to the 2018-2022 average.
