Peruvian ginger exports on the rise

Peruvian ginger exports between January and June 2023 increased both in volume and value, if compared to the same lapse in 2022, according to a recent report by Agrodata Perú.

 

During the first semester of the ongoing year, the country exported 34.837.484 kilos of the product, worth $47.343.063

 

In the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 22.158.174 kilos of ginger, for a total value of $28.864.135.

 

The main recipients until June 2023 were the United States (43% of total value), the Netherlands (33%), Spain (5%), Canada (4%), the United Kingdom (4%), Germany (3%), and others.
