Downward trend in asparagus exports from Peru

Between January and June 2023, fresh asparagus exports from Peru decreased both in volume and value, if compared to the same term in 2022.

 

According to Agrodata Perú, in the first semester of the ongoing year, the country exported 34.211.182 kilos of the product, priced at $116.755.220.

 

In the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 43.467.983 kilos of asparagus, for a total value of $122.126.453.

 

The main destinations until June 2023 were the United States (63% of total value), the United Kingdom (15%), the Netherlands (9%), and Spain (7%), among others.
