After meeting the sanitary requirements, Poland has obtained permission to import fresh blueberries to China. Thus, blueberries become the second Polish fruit to enter the Chinese market, after apples.

 

The blueberry season in Poland runs from July to September. Currently, Germany is the main destination for these shipments, followed by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Sweden.

 

In the last decade, Poland has successfully expanded into Asian markets, exporting blueberries to countries such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
