United States and Netherlands as major destinations for Peruvian ginger

In the first 5 months of 2023, Peruvian ginger exports performed a significant increase, if compared to the same term in 2022.

 

According to Agrodata Perú, until May of the ongoing year, the country exported 30.251.944 kilos of the product worth $40.884.016, while in the same lapse of 2022, Peru shipped 19.062.656 of ginger worth $25.009.947.

 

The main destinations through May 2023 were the United States (40% of total value), the Netherlands (35%), the United Kingdom (4%), Germany (4%), Canada (4%), and others.
