Australian media report that Chinese authorities have given the green light for the resumption of Australian fruit exports.
In 2020, after Australia had requested an independent investigation into the origins of COVID-19, China had imposed various trade barriers on several Australian exports (coal, timber, cotton, copper, etc.) as well as on fruit exports (mangoes, citrus, stone fruit).
The opening up of the Chinese market is good news for Australian producers, who see enormous potential in this market for their products.
