After a satisfactory fourth quarter of 2021 in terms of volume, Cameroon's banana exports have recorded a further decline.
According to data from Assobacam (Association of Banana Growers of Cameroon), at the end of February 2022 banana exports amounted to 16,525 tons, while the 17,258 tons were exported in the same period of 2021.
The main operators in the country have registered a decrease in their volumes. Assobacam attributes this decrease to the weather conditions due to the dry season that the country has just experienced at the beginning of the year.
