This new line links the port of Bandar Abbas, in the south of Iran, to the port of Sultan Qaboos, the largest port of Muscat, in Oman.

 

 

 

This new line, between the two countries, will be used to transit container shipments, mainly fruits and vegetables. It is the first link intended for the transport of fruit and vegetables in containers, according to the organization for the promotion of trade.

 

 

 

Iran and Oman have already launched 4 direct shipping lines between the ports of the two countries since 2015. The last maritime cooperation agreement signed in December 2019 aimed to boost trade between the 2 countries.
