The year 2019 ended satisfactorily for Cameroonian banana exports, which recorded an increase of more than 1,000 tonnes compared to December of the previous year.

 

 

 

According to ASSOBACAM (Association Bananière du Cameroun) statistics, the volume of banana exports in December 2019 totaled 16,641 tonnes.  This represents 1036 tonnes more than in December 2018.

 

 

 

PHP (Plantations du Haut Penja), a local subsidiary of Compagnie fruitière based in Marseille (France) exported 15,168 tonnes of bananas in December 2019. Boh Plantations PLC exported 1,473 tonnes. CDC (Cameroon Development Corporation) recorded no production for 2019 due to the crisis in the English-speaking regions of the country.
