Excellent results for Tunisian fruit exports, which recorded increases in volume and value for 2019.

 

 

 

According to data from the Interprofessional Fruit Group, exports in 2019 totaled 49,000 tonnes and generated TND 110.8 million (USD 39.7 million). Results significantly higher than the 36,000 tonnes and 87 million TND (USD 31.1 million) recorded in 2018.

 

 

 

With regard to destinations, Libya occupies the 1st place with 35,000 tonnes and 36.6 million TND (USD 13.1 million) followed by Italy with 6,517 tonnes and 8.4 million TND (USD 3 million) .

 

 

 

The value of exports decreased in certain markets (France, Emirates, Qatar) and increased in other markets (Russia, Germany). Tunisian fruits have conquered two new markets, Poland and the Ivory Coast.
