Egypt and Brazil strengthen trade
A Brazilian delegation visited Egypt to discuss the strengthening of trade between the two countries.
Discussions also focused on increased cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agrarian research, biogas, agricultural waste recycling and the exchange of genetic material for forage crops.
Egypt plans to export garlic, grapes and citrus fruit to Brazil. The Brazilian delegation confirmed that the import of Egyptian grapes would begin soon and that a technical commission would visit Egypt in November to conclude negotiations on Egyptian citrus shipments.
Brazil's exports to Egypt in the first half of 2019 reached US $791.53 million, while Egyptian exports to Brazil reached US $135.98 million.
