South Africa, already exporting a large volume of fruit to Russia, plans to increase it. Negotiations are under way between the two countries.

 

 

The South African Department of Agricultural Quality Control is in talks with Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's food safety agency. Representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor are due to visit South Africa soon to learn about the fruit production process in companies wishing to increase their exports.

 

 

In 2018, according to South African data, the country exported more than 203,000 tons of fruit to Russia, or 7% of its total exports.
