Goal: Multiply by 3 exports to Asia in 4 years

Kenya wants to boost exports to China and India, which currently account for only 4% of total agricultural exports. The country plans to triple in four years its exports to these two markets.

With the conclusion that China and India account for only 4% of Kenya's exports while, in the other direction, their share of imports in Kenya reaches 40%, the Kenyan government wants to implement a new strategy.

The goal is to stimulate and expand the market share of Kenyan products in Asia. Especially for tea, coffee, cut flowers, fruits & vegetables.

Public-private agreements, various aid and training, trade missions, the implementation of this strategy is estimated at nearly 8 billion USD over the period.
