The trade balance becomes positive
Tunisia has a surplus on the trade balance of food products, exports far surpassed imports.
ONAGRI (National Observatory of Agriculture) has indicated that the food trade balance for the month of July 2018 is a rate of 106.1% against 70.8% in July 2017.
Food exports were up by 72.6% in value while imports were up only by 15.2%. Among the best increases in value: olive oil (+ 200.4%), tomatoes (+ 68.5%) and citrus fruits (+ 20.6%).
